Alice is a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist with 15 years of experience in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy.
After graduating from the University of Otago in 2008, she worked in both London and Melbourne before settling in Sydney eight years ago.
While her career initially focused on musculoskeletal care, it wasn’t until after the birth of her first daughter that she developed an interest in pelvic health, inspiring her to specialise further in this area. These qualifications, combined with her background in musculoskeletal physiotherapy and pilates, allow her to offer an holistic, patient-centered approach to treating issues around the pelvis.

Fun Facts:

Why did you get into Pelvic Physio?
After having kids. Giving birth showed me the toll that pregnancy and childbirth take on the body and how important it is to have the right support and information. That’s what led me into pelvic health, wanting to understand how to recover and strengthen my body, and later, to help other women navigate the challenges of recovery with care and knowledge.
What are your passions in the field?
I love working with pregnant women to provide education and information on birth, and look at ways to reduce the risk of birth injuries and to improve their physical ability. It's incredibly rewarding to help them prepare for the physical demands of pregnancy and childbirth while also giving the knowledge and tools needed for a smooth birth experience.
What would you like to see change in the world of Pelvic Health?

Many people are unaware that there are effective treatments for pelvic health issues and often think it's something they just have to live with. Conditions like incontinence, pelvic pain, and prolapse are common, but they can be managed or even improved with the right care. Increasing awareness and education about the available treatments can help people understand that they don’t have to just "put up with" these issues.

What do you do in your spare time?

Heading out to the beach with the kids, grabbing a cup of coffee with friends or heading off to run one of the local trails.
